Bird enthusiasts and seasoned ornithologists among you, rejoice!
With the arrival of cold weather, we have prepared 2 DIY projects that will allow you to feed the birds this winter and thus continue to observe them.
It is recommended to feed the birds only during cold periods, from mid-November to the end of March.
Here is a simple recipe for fat balls that we have placed on recycled chopsticks and housed in a minimalist birdhouse.
Materials:

- Coconut oil
- Bird seed mix
- Containers (cake molds, silicone ice cube trays, etc.)
- Wooden sticks (chopsticks, recycled)
Steps:
Melt the coconut oil
Mix the same amount of bird seeds with the coconut oil
Pour the mixture into the molds
Place the stick in the mixture and refrigerate so the fat balls harden
Unmold the fat balls, insert the stick into them, and place the ball in your birdhouse or hang it directly on a tree
Tips and tricks:
You can use different types of vegetable fats for your recipe. Choose one that solidifies easily in the cold.
