Ready to host for the New Year's Eve? To add a bit of magic and spread the fresh pine scent to the table, I suggest a festive centerpiece idea.

This centerpiece is simple to assemble, easy to customize, and won't prevent you from seeing or talking to each other with its perfect height to stay on the table throughout the meal if desired.

Materials

–     1 tray or 1 wooden presentation (or cutting) board.

–     3 candles

–     Pine branches of your choice (pine, cedar, fir…)

–     Decorative accessories (ornaments, faux branches, nuts, spices, pine cones, bells, etc.)

Steps to Follow

1- Choose and place the candles on the dish, tray, or board to decorate.

2- Place all the branches until you achieve the desired effect.

4- Place the various accessories starting with the largest ones.

5- To add a bit of color to my centerpiece, I made small red velvet bows following the steps of the quick and easy DIY bows.

6- Your festive centerpiece is ready!

This little DIY is really not complicated, but it will add a lot of effect to your table decor, without much effort.

It's with this last DIY of the year that I wish you all wonderful preparations and excellent end-of-year celebrations!

Tips and Tricks:

–     Using natural pine branches will bring a pleasant pine scent without being overpowering. However, it will be temporary, as once dried, the branches will lose color, scent, and needles.

–     I suggest not using scented candles if you plan to leave your arrangement on the table during the meal. Their scents might interfere with the flavor of the dishes. (You can use real candles or LED candles for this DIY).

–     I suggest using a maximum of 3 colors to achieve a harmonious composition. You could match it to your tableware or table linen, or play with complementary colors to add more contrast.
