Last minute to do your Christmas shopping and you have someone in your family who loves indoor plants? I have plenty of great ideas for you! Discover my gift list to offer for Christmas (or other occasions) to someone you know who is passionate about indoor plants.

Maintenance tools

A nice simple gift to make is to buy accessories for plants. For example: a beautiful watering can, a humidifier, an electric sprayer, a hygrometer to check the soil humidity level. A repotting mat with the necessary tools for repotting can also be a really nice gift and is not very expensive. A nice "repotting essentials" gift set with a bag of potting soil can be really cool to receive. And moreover, from March onwards it's the repotting season, so it's super practical to have. Then, offering a maintenance product set with fertilizer, insecticide, black soap, can really be a good idea. You can never have too much! Winter is a difficult season for indoor plants, offering grow lights can also be a good choice.

Decoration for your plants

It's nice to receive practical gifts, but receiving beautiful accessories for our plants is really a good idea. There are a multitude of trellises for climbing plants that are very original. Beautiful cachepots, plant stands, hanging macramés are very beautiful accessories for indoor plants and are sometimes a bit more expensive. There is a plethora of cachepots that are so beautiful! A slightly more bohemian, modern, retro look and even beautiful baskets can be a nice way to hide the pot of our larger plants.

Offer books on plants and Passion Jardins gift cards!

There are many books on indoor plants and I believe that in each of them it is possible to find a ton of very relevant information on the maintenance of our green girls. Pairing a book with a nice Passion Jardins gift card can be an excellent choice! That way, the person can spoil themselves in a garden center while knowing how to take care of their new plant.

Offer cuttings

I think offering cuttings is such a great gift! If you have a lot of plants at home, you can take several small cuttings from your plants and offer them. Ideally, you would make them a little in advance so that they have time to acclimate. If that's not possible, a pretty vase with "fresh cuts", freshly cut stems in water can do the trick! It costs absolutely nothing more! You can also take small notes on a pretty card to explain the care of these plants to help the person with their new plants!

A plant that I really like to give and that is easy to care for is the pothos! There are many varieties. I have several at home and I really enjoy giving them regularly.

DIY pothos cuttings gift

Step 1= Define the plant you want to cut to offer as a gift.

Step 2= Cut below a node. On a pothos, it's quite easy, you will see a small bump which is the "aerial root". You should cut below this small bump. I suggest cutting about 1 to 2 inches below. I also advise you not to put more than 3 leaves on your cutting. Because the more leaves there are, the harder it will be for the cutting to survive when it is time to put it in the soil.

Step 3= Cut different varieties of pothos (if you have them) to make a nice bouquet.

Step 4= Put them in a pretty vase filled with water and you can also decorate it with a small bow.

Step 5= All that's left is to offer it to the person of your choice!

Feel free to visit your garden center Passion Jardins to find everything you will need to make a nice gift for a plant lover!
