Want to bring a touch of freshness and greenery to your interior? Hanging plants are ideal for that! They add life, color, and a little bohemian touch to any room, while being relatively easy to maintain.
In this article, I present to you my 5 favorite hanging plants that will transform your space: the Philodendron Brasil, the Hoya Krimson Queen, the Scindapsus Silver Platinum, the Peperomia Hope, and the Nematanthus gregarius, aka goldfish plant.
The Philodendron Brasil a common plant but stands out with its very colorful variegation.
The Philodendron Brasil is a plant that you can see quite frequently. I find it particularly different with its dark green and pale green colors. In terms of care, it’s one of the plants I find very easy.
Watering: We simply wait for the soil to be completely dry before watering.
Light: It’s a plant that will be happy in bright indirect light, in the direct morning sun. Be careful with the midday sun rays, as they can be a bit intense for its foliage.

The Hoya Krimson Queen, and its white variation that turns heads
I love hoyas because they are such easy-care and resilient plants! There are several beautiful varieties and they make magnificent hanging plants to place on a shelf. It’s a plant that generally requires enough light to maintain its beautiful white variation on the leaves. As for watering: We wait for the soil to be 100% dry because hoyas hate too much moisture and can easily rot the roots. It loves well-draining soil.

The Peperomia Hope: animal-friendly
Just like the Hoya, the Peperomia Hope is considered a non-toxic plant for animals. It’s a rather unique plant with its round, water-filled leaves. It likes well-draining soil that dries well between waterings. It thrives very well in indirect light or otherwise in the morning sun.

The Scindapsus Silver Platinum: a silver plant
A plant with silver leaves? It’s the Scindapsus! There are really several varieties, and I wanted to introduce you to this one. Its leaves are a slightly bluish green, which I find so original. In terms of care, it’s the same as the Philodendron. A tip to know if our Scindapsus needs water: its leaves will curl inward.

The Nematanthus gregarius: the goldfish plant
It’s a plant that deserves much more recognition in my opinion! It’s called the “goldfish plant” because its blooms resemble little goldfish. It is characterized by long stems and very small dark green leaves. It’s truly a beautiful delicate hanging plant. Mine flowers about twice a year. My trick? Place it in a very bright spot with moderate direct sunlight.

There you go, with these 5 hanging plants, your interior will instantly have more life and style. I hope this article has inspired you to add new plants to your shelves!
