Zigzag tutor to make with children

Resultat5 scaled

Are you looking for an activity to do with your children that will be useful in your urban jungle? You're in luck, we have just the thing for you!

Materials:

– Recycled bamboo sticks

– 14 gauge galvanized steel wire

– Wire cutter

– Bakeable polymer clay

– Retractable blade knife

Steps:

1 – Cut a piece of galvanized steel wire long enough by referring to the size of your pot.

Hand-form simple zigzags by making tight turns.

You can improve their shape using a flat plier.

2 – Once all your zigzags are made, start a straight stem from the center of the last zigzag.

This stem will be planted in the soil.

Estimate the necessary length considering the size of your pot and cut off the excess.

3 – With the polymer clay, form a roll slightly thicker than your steel wire.

4 – With the polymer clay roll, cover your entire steel zigzag to dress it up to the straight stem.

You can place the roll on a flat surface and gently lay your steel zigzag on top, adjusting it as you go to simplify the task.

Finish by gently sealing the polymer clay around the steel wire and run a slightly damp finger to smooth the joints and create a nice spiral.

This support will be very discreet and will be perfect for your small and medium plants, whether to keep them upright or to gently guide their branches to climb without being too noticeable.
