Scab-resistant cultivar. At least two different varieties are needed , but apple trees have the advantage of also being pollinated by decorative crabapples , as long as their flowering periods coincide. Pruning is done in the spring before the buds begin to swell. Pruning techniques for an amateur gardener are quite simple to achieve satisfactory production.
