Scab-resistant cultivar. At least two different varieties are needed , but apple trees have the advantage of also being pollinated by decorative crabapple trees , provided that their blooming periods coincide. Pruning is done in the spring before the buds start to swell. Pruning techniques for an amateur gardener are quite simple to achieve satisfactory production.
