Description :

```html
There are few perennials as reliable as hostas. Hundreds of varieties have been developed , some miniature with elongated leaves , others giant with large wavy leaves. They all have rosette growth , and the leaves always have smooth edges. The leaves are either solid or variegated , in shades of green , bluish , white or golden. The trumpet-shaped flowers , white or lavender , are presented on spikes. Some emit an intoxicating fragrance , such as 'Royal Standard' or 'Guacamole'.
