Prefers well-drained soil, but adapts to almost all soil types except those that are constantly waterlogged.

Maintenance :

Prune after flowering. Add compost and fertilize with a granular fertilizer (7-14-14) in the spring. Tie branches in the fall to prevent breakage from heavier snow.

Description :

A classic with its graceful bearing! The white spring bloom of the VanHoutte spirea completely covers its foliage and resembles a bridal wreath, hence its common name.
