The holiday season is fast approaching, and it's time to get into the spirit by decorating your home for the occasion. Besides the traditional Christmas tree, here are some ideas for decorating your home for the holidays with plants:
Christmas Wreaths
Fir wreaths beautifully adorn doors and walls. Plus, it's easy to personalize them according to the type of decor you choose. Golden or colorful Christmas balls, beautifully coordinated fabric bows, garlands of twinkling lights, and you're all set. If you don't want to see the power cord, choose battery-powered LED lights! You will find different models at garden centers.

Christmas Plants
Many plants bloom in winter and look their best for Christmas. They are perfect for the coffee table, kitchen counter, and even the office. Plus, they make a perfect host or hostess gift; be sure to cover them well during transport so they don't catch cold. Of course, we immediately think of the traditional poinsettia, but there are others:
- Christmas Cactus
- Kalanchoe
- Cyclamen
- Amaryllis

There are also rosemary and lavender plants available in pots at this time of year. They vaguely resemble the shape of a tree and fill your room with fragrance... and give a little kick to your favorite cocktail!
Centerpieces and Table Runners
Dress up your holiday table with a centerpiece or table runner made of intertwined fir or birch branches to which you add a few stems of artificial berries that you can find at your favorite Passion Jardins store. Intertwine some decorative candles (be careful with fire!) or light strings, pine cones, candied citrus slices, cinnamon sticks, or any other ornament of your choice. A little tip: be mindful of the height so as not to obstruct the view of guests on either side of the table.

Even More Decorations!
Window frames, door frames, fireplace mantels, stair railings, thematic plant frames, living ornaments for the tree, etc. You can always incorporate more decorations into your home for the holidays with as many natural and artificial flowers and plants. The Christmas shop at your Passion Jardins store is overflowing with ideas to help you combine your two passions: gardening and Christmas decorations!
