The honeysuckle bush , also known as edible honeysuckle , or Haskap elsewhere in Canada , produces large plump fruits. In early spring , it produces trumpet-shaped flowers , always in pairs , with a color ranging from cream to pale yellow. The fruits appear from May to the end of June. The haskap berry is blue , oblong in shape and not round. Rich in vitamin A and C , it has a slightly sweet and tangy taste , and is also an excellent source of antioxidants.
