Hoyas

Scientific name :

Hoya carnosa

Light Requirements :

Bright light, Medium light

Watering :

Water deeply, and let the soil dry on the surface between waterings. The foliage may blacken if the plant suffers from overwatering.

Maintenance :

Prune to control growth and stimulate branching, while avoiding damage to the peduncle. Fertilize with an all-purpose fertilizer (20-20-20) or for flowering (22-11-22) during the growth period, from March to October. Repot in a potting mix for indoor plants, but it grows better when root-bound. Propagation by stem cuttings.

Description :

Also called porcelain flower, the Hoya carnosa is a climbing or trailing plant with glossy foliage and umbels of star-shaped fragrant flowers. Easy to maintain, it can bloom regularly once well established.
