Watering :

Water deeply and allow the soil to dry out for several cm between waterings. Can tolerate long periods without water if necessary.

Maintenance :

Clean the dust on the large leaves with a damp cloth. Repot in potting soil for indoor plants or for cacti and succulents. Prefers to be root-bound. Fertilize with an all-purpose fertilizer (20-20-20) during the growth period, from March to October. Propagation by leaf cuttings or division.

Also called mother-in-law's tongues, sansevierias have a reputation for being nearly indestructible plants. Their long, sword-shaped, striped leaves add an architectural touch to any interior.
